Share your Sim Racing Tips and Tricks!

Were you always struggling with a certain aspect of sim racing until you discovered a simple trick that made you go ‘a-ha!’? If so, what was it? Share your best tips & tricks with the rest of the D-BOX PLUS community.

I think a clear concise YouTube video on how to do a full D-BOX setup for gaming would be helpful.

Many users like myself with a D-BOX Chair, KAI-1P, HEMC need to know if there is any additional hardware needed to make this work on console or a gaming PC.

Don’t just start with the software, show what hardware is needed and how to connect it as well.

Well said SOWK. Some type of switch option would be cool too to go between Movie and games if one were to install a gaming PC in their home theater. I even wired mine for VR just for this type of application.

I build my home cinema seats with Alu Profiles, i think that works for SIM Racing as well.

Absolutely! Alu Profiles are some of the best setups for sim racing as well, they make it easy for D-BOX to be integrated!

Yeah- using your HT chairs for gaming is a “free” additional use that many HT owners may not know about.

For sure! It’s now starting to become a revelation on the sim racing market! Big things are coming soon for sure!

Those going from gaming to movies have to add an HEMC or Haptic device but going from movies to games you have everything you need already. Just removing the HEMC acomplishes both. You may opt to get a simple A/B cat5 switcher and place it between the chair and your HEMC,/PC.

The key is to modify sensitivity to be a champion

For those of us that will use our D-Box seats for future console gaming haptic feedback, will that necessitate additional hardware?

We are still developing the final concept and architecture and therefore cannot confirm anything just yet. Rest assured we are doing everything we can to ensure a smooth operation and transition!

Hmmm this is a good question because I am not a gamer… but when I did play video games I loved racing games. I have never been in a racing sim unless we are talking about the arcade ones. My only advice for those would be remember to double tap on the gas to make fire come out of the tail pipes lol :joy:

That might be THE best advice we’ve got so far

“Less is more”

Don’t over do the motion effects or settings in D-Box Game Manager. Sure exaggerated motion might look and feel better but if you want motion cues to help you set faster lap times then less is more.

Instead of giving a tip, I would ask for a tip: in many games you can customize movement and vibration, but I find it very confusing what the ideal setting should be. I most cases I experience that the default (is this the ideal settings) are not feeling right. Too extreme or too soft.

I would like to see for example how somebody configured Flight Simulator or Trackmania

Thanks for the tip, great information to know! :slightly_smiling_face:

It would be nice if there was preset profiles that you could select that would already be configured for the game being played. That used to happen for joysticks it was great and I think it would be a wonderful tool for D-Box. I would love to just be able to select say something like Forza horizon and have everything already be configured.
